How does Solar Thermal work?
Solar thermal panels use a combination of water and glycol to soak up the sun's heat. Once the liquid inside the collectors heats up, it is then circulated to a heat exchanger.
The hot liquid within the heat exchanger shares its heat with either air or water. This allows us to use the warmed up air/water for heating buildings and generating hot water. After the heat exchanger gives away its heat, the liquid goes back to the panels/collectors to begin the process again.
